Covering 10 acres, the Wanaka lavender farm is more than just fields of fragrant flowers. The flowers also support beehives, and serve as a colorful backdrop for elegant display gardens. Here, you’ll also be able to meet a variety of farm animals including Highland Cows, Kunekune Pigs, Alpacas, and Shetland ponies, so you’re guaranteed to have a great time even when the flowers aren’t in bloom. After exploring the grounds, you can pop into the onsite cafe to enjoy herbal tea or treat yourself to lavender and honey ice-cream. Of course, there’s also a shop where you can sample the many Lavender and Honey products the farm produces to help you decide what to bring home.
