To experience this hilltop temple’s stupendous views, visitors must first make like the local troop of monkeys and climb!
Standing atop a 245 meter hill, visitors must brave 418 steps to reach Wat Thammikaram Worawihan. Along the way, you’re sure to see the local band of monkeys who call the hill home. Completely unfazed by humans, they’ll go about their monkey-business without paying you any mind - unless you seem to have food (so don’t bring food with you! They’re still wild monkeys can get quite aggressive when there’s food involved). Once you reach the hilltop, you can step into the temple to pay your respects to Buddha, and center yourself after the strenuous climb. Then step back outside to enjoy the amazing 360 panoramic views!
