Bologna to Ferrara and Comacchio: Private day trip

They’re rated internationally important by the Ramsar Convention for the conservation and sustainable use of wetlands, and offer visitors guided tours to see the flamingo-filled wetlands, as well as their traditional eel fishing techniques. Walking through the picturesque heart of the city feels like you’ve been transported to a simpler time. Trepponti bridge, spanning canals, offers fantastic photo opportunities. History buffs can step into nearby Museo della Nave Romana to learn about an ancient Roman merchant vessel that was recovered in the lagoon. But for a truly unique experience, visit the La Manifattura dei Marinati museum to learn about Comacchio’s eel industry.
