"Mike was a friendly, knowledgeable and excellent driver.
He had to cope with almost constant rain, heavy truck traffic and many roadworks. It turned out that he shared a very similar background to my wife and they spent time sharing reminiscences and family stories. She enjoyed practising her Czech. At the end of our journey, he accompanied me while I secured our accommodation and even assisted us with our luggage.

We made one stop at Lendice Chateau and continued on to Prague (with one stop at a Hungarian owned gas station) for food and relief.

"Milo arrived at Elisabeth Old Town exactly on time, introduced himself and put our bags in the boot. He checked our destination and also that we planned to visit Lednice Chateau and Park on the way. In the pockets in the back of the car he had folders of notes on the places he drives to, which we thought was a good idea. It was only a bit over an hourās drive to Lednice, so there was no need for a stop before then.
At Lednice, Milo showed us the area where he would park but then drove round to the main gate of the chateau and let us out there before going and parking. He also suggested that we would possibly enjoy the gardens the most, and that we could see the stunning chandelier in the chateau simply by looking through the front door. He had guessed correctly ā we admired the outside of the chateau, looked at the chandelier, then spent a very pleasant time strolling around the gardens, pausing for a coffee, and using the toilets. Then we walked the short distance back to the car park and found Milo exactly where he had said heād be.
He pointed out a few things on the next leg of the journey but shortly after leaving Lednice we came across roadworks that necessitated driving on the shoulder for much of the time. We felt sorry for Milo, as it made driving more difficult and was hard on the car. But he remained calm and pleasant and we got to Prague not too long after the original ETA. The apartment we had booked turned out to be up a narrow, cobbled street but he took us right to the door, which we appreciated. He lifted our bags out onto the footpath and thanked us and we thanked him for a good trip in spite of the roadworks
Milo pointed out some landmarks and items of interest during the trip, and his suggestions re Lednice Chateau were much appreciated. The idea of notes was good. We felt safe with his driving and the car was comfortable."
