While the film sets were temporary and removed after filming, you can visit the exact landscapes featured in the trilogy. The 12 Mile Delta campground appeared as the Ithilien Camp. Glenorchy is approximately 25 miles (45 kilometers) from Queenstown, about a 45-minute drive along the scenic Queenstown-Glenorchy Road.
