All active mosques in Bursa, including the Grand Mosque and the Green Mosque, require visitors to dress modestly. Vendors sell silk scarves, fabrics, and souvenirs, and the inner tea house is a perfect spot to rest. It sits at the heart of Bursa's historic bazaar district.
The Green Tomb (Yesil Turbe) is the mausoleum of Sultan Mehmed I, built in the early 15th century and covered in striking blue-green Ottoman tiles. The tomb is one of Bursa's most photographed landmarks and is free to enter. It stands near the Green Mosque on a hillside, offering a calm and visually impressive stop. The tile work inside is considered among the finest examples of early Ottoman decorative art.
