Sarajevo to Bosnian historical sites: Private day trip

The Old Bridge in Mostar was originally an Ottoman construction of the 16th century, but Croatian forces destroyed its original form during the Bosnian War. From 2001 to 2004, the city meticulously rebuilt the bridge using the original techniques to address the massive destruction. Jajce is a history lover's dream, with its diverse past on full display in the varied architecture and dominating 14th-century fortress. Visitors can see the infleunces of four different empires as they wander these ancient, walled streets. The town centers around the stunning Pliva Waterfall, the coursing waters lending the center of town an exciting atmosphere.
