Discover more with local expertise

Your driver’s local insights will set the tone for your day trip. A hidden café here, a must-try restaurant there; insider tips you’ll love sharing later. This isn’t a guided tour but your ride will be rich with stories and discoveries along the way. And throughout the day, your driver will be available for you as needed, ready to assist, happy to help, making your trip stress-free.

Explore at your own pace

After arriving in Salzburg, you’ll have the freedom to see Mozart’s birthplace and the old town before continuing on the Eagle's Nest in Berchtesgaden to learn about Germany's Nazi past. Please note that this stop is only available if you're visiting from May to October, due to the snowy conditions. During your visits, your driver will be waiting nearby for the next part of your journey. Bear in mind the Eagle's Nest is only open from mid-May to October because snow makes the area unsafe for travel.

Salzburg is picture book Austria and no visitor should miss out on the view of the Old Town’s kaleidoscope of domes and spires, the imposing castle fortress and the stunning alpine scenery of the mountains that lie beyond. The Old Town is a place where time easily slips by as you wander and wander. Check out Mozart’s birthplace and soak up the grandeur of the churches and monumental squares that appear one after the other. The city also rewards those who are prepared to look slightly further afield. Meander the narrow side streets accompanied by the classical music that seems to waft from each window and stop by one of the city’s café’s to sample the mouthwatering cake and coffee. Let Salzburg work its charm on you to leave you with an unforgettable memory as you absorb its incredible skyline, the ever-present music and its thousand-year-old history.

This rather unorthodox “present” was given to Hitler on his 50th birthday by the Nazi Party. Designed by Martin Bormann, Hitler’s private secretary, who was second only to Hitler himself in terms of political power, it still stands in its original condition. Although considered an architectural masterpiece — the building is perched on a sheer rock face while the access road was cut into previously impassable terrain — it has been preserved as a reminder of the inhumane crimes that were planned there. Created to impress, the “summit of power” at the top can only be reached by the brass elevator buried in the heart of the mountain. The views from the top over Berchtesgaden, Salzburg, and the Konisee River have to be seen to be believed. The Eagles Nest is a historic symbol of insanity that even with its stunning location, today stands as a forceful reminder of one man’s crimes against humanity. A bus will bring you from the parking lot up to the Eagle's Nest. We recommend booking tickets in advance at https://kehlsteinhaus.axess.shop/de/ProductsNgTicket/TicketPredateableMobile?poolNr=1&projNr=388&ticketTypeNr=1&groupId=1&Month=6&Year=2023 Due to its high elevation the Eagle's Nest is only open in summer, usually from about mid-May through October.
