Cueva de la Pileta
Dating back over 20,000 years to the Paleolithic era, the Cueva de la Pileta cave paintings are better preserved and less developed than those at other popular sites. These incredible charcoal and ochre compositions were discovered by a farmer in the early twentieth century, and his descendants, the Bullon family, still operate the site today. This authentic archaeological site is only accessible on a guided tour, led by the family with an oil lamp. Visitors will see prehistoric renderings of animals and daily scenes, as well as impressive stalactites and stalagmites. Reservations are available Monday-Sunday from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM online or by phone: https://cuevadelapileta.es/visita

Setenil de las Bodegas
Feel free to explore at your own pace and discover
Stop: 1 h 30 min - admission not included
Setenil de las Bodegas
Andalusia is home to many pueblos blancos, or “white villages,” but Setenil de las Bodegas is perhaps the most unique of these. Here, many houses are built directly into an overhanging rock, with cliff-face ceilings. Visitors can admire the traditional architecture squeezed into a narrow gorge, explore the remains of a Moorish fortress, and enjoy bars and restaurants set into cool caves for unforgettable tapas experiences. This photogenic stop is best explored on foot, so come prepared with good walking shoes. Interestingly, the town’s name comes from a phrase referring to the seven times Christians attempted to conquer the town from the Moors.
