Seville to Prehistoric Sites: Private Day Trip

Dating back over 20,000 years to the Paleolithic era, the Cueva de la Pileta cave paintings are better preserved and less developed than those at other popular sites. These incredible charcoal and ochre compositions were discovered by a farmer in the early twentieth century, and his descendants, the Bullon family, still operate the site today. This authentic archaeological site is only accessible on a guided tour, led by the family with an oil lamp. Visitors will see prehistoric renderings of animals and daily scenes, as well as impressive stalactites and stalagmites.
