Treviso is often described as a more relaxed, less crowded alternative to Venice. It has its own canals, medieval architecture, and great food, but without the intensity of mass tourism. Venice to Treviso is approximately 17 miles (28 km) and takes around 30 minutes by car. The route is straightforward along the A27 motorway, making Treviso one of the closest and easiest day trips from Venice. The short transfer means more time to enjoy the city itself.
Yes, Treviso is at the heart of Prosecco country. The Conegliano Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore DOCG zone lies just north of the city, and local wine bars serve excellent, often affordable Prosecco by the glass.
