So, so happy I stumbled upon this website to book two private transports while visiting Lima, Peru. They were both one-way trips approximately 3 hours in length. Great communication as soon as everything was booked via email and I then downloaded their app. I had a few issues with the app and the customer service was awesome trying to assist me in getting it corrected. Honestly impressive customer service which gave you a positive feeling that you made the right choice. Both drivers were right on time - No issues whatsoever! Can't say enough about the service and ease of everything when travelling so far away. Great job to the daytrip team! Would strongly recommend.
Yes, Playa San Juan is a family-friendly destination. The beach is calm and sheltered, making it safe for children to swim. The beach itself has adapted access for visitors with reduced mobility, along with facilities including loungers, umbrellas, showers, and toilets. The seafront promenade is flat and easy to walk along, making it accessible for strollers and wheelchairs alike.
Tipping in Spain is appreciated but not obligatory. In restaurants, rounding up the bill or leaving a small amount of change is common practice. A tip of 5 to 10 percent is considered generous. At bars, it is typical to simply round up or leave small coins. Hotel staff such as housekeeping and porters generally appreciate a small tip as well.
The Blue Flag beach is the main draw, with calm, sheltered waters perfect for swimming and snorkeling. The promenade is lined with restaurants serving fresh seafood and local tapas. Nearby, Playa Abama is one of Tenerife's most beautiful beaches, and the Abama Golf Course is world-class. The weekly local market offers crafts, produce, and artisan goods.
Spain uses the euro (EUR), and this includes the Canary Islands, where Playa San Juan is located. Credit and debit cards are widely accepted in most restaurants, shops, and hotels. It is still a good idea to carry some cash for smaller local establishments, market stalls, and any situations where card payments may not be available.
Fresh seafood is the local specialty here, including grilled fish, octopus, and tuna. Canarian cuisine features papas arrugadas (small wrinkled potatoes) served with mojo sauce, a garlicky condiment in red or green varieties. Gofio, a toasted grain flour, also appears in many traditional dishes.
Tenerife has a reliable bus network known as Titsa. From Playa San Juan, routes 473 and 477 connect to nearby resorts including Los Gigantes, Puerto de Santiago, and Costa Adeje. For greater flexibility and to explore more of the island at your own pace, a private transfer or rental car is a practical choice.
The official language of Spain is Spanish (Castilian). In Tenerife and the wider Canary Islands, Spanish is the primary language used in daily life. English is widely understood in hotels, restaurants, and tourist areas of the island. However, a few basic Spanish phrases will go a long way with locals and is always appreciated.
Playa San Juan enjoys a warm and sunny climate year-round, making it a good destination in any season. The summer months bring the warmest temperatures, while spring and fall offer pleasant warmth with fewer visitors. Even in winter, conditions are mild, making the Canary Islands one of Europe's most reliable year-round sun destinations.
