The cancellation policy may vary depending on your trip. The cancellation conditions available for your booking will always be shown before confirming your trip. Depending on eligibility, Daytrip offers different cancellation options:
Non-refundable: If your trip is canceled after confirmation, the amount paid will not be refunded.
Standard: If your trip is canceled at least 24 hours before the scheduled departure time, the amount paid will be refunded in full. Cancellations made less than 24 hours before departure are not eligible for a refund.
Flexible: If your trip is canceled at least 1 hour before the scheduled departure time, the amount paid will be refunded in full. Cancellations made less than 1 hour before departure are not eligible for a refund.
Trips booked less than 24 hours before departure may not be eligible for free cancellation unless stated otherwise during the booking process.

You will receive the vehicle that best fits the number of travelers in your group, ranging from a sedan to a van for groups of up to 7. Depending where you travel, you can book anything from a sedan comparable to a Toyota Corolla to a Mercedes V-Class to a Classic Cuban Car. While the exact model may vary, we always ensure that the vehicle provided meets your needs in terms of safety, reliability, and comfort. You may be upgraded to a larger vehicle class free of charge depending on availability. Since our largest vehicle seats 7, for groups larger a combination of vehicles will be used. We will send you the exact vehicle details a few days before your trip.
Everywhere except the USA, drivers will supply appropriate child seats (just let us know during booking). In the USA, certain states require you to supply your own child seats.
Punta Prima sits roughly 72 km (45 miles) from Alicante and about 28 km (17 miles) from Murcia. By car or private transfer, expect around 45 to 50 minutes from Alicante and 25 to 30 minutes from Murcia. Public transport options exist but typically require a combination of bus and taxi and can take over two hours each way, leaving little time to actually enjoy the destination. A private transfer gets you there door to door, on your own schedule, with no connections to juggle.
Punta Prima beach works particularly well for families. The natural rocky headland on the northern side shelters the bay and keeps the water noticeably calmer than more exposed beaches in the region, and the shallow depth makes it safer for children to swim. The rocky coves on either side are well suited to snorkelling and crabbing, which tend to keep kids occupied. The area also has accessible facilities including restrooms and a lifeguard presence. Couples and solo visitors who want a quieter, less commercial stretch of coast will also find it appealing compared to larger and busier resorts nearby.

The beach itself rewards a few hours: the rocky coves are ideal for snorkelling, the shallow water suits families, and the two beach bars are good for a long lunch. A coastal walking path connects Punta Prima to the other Orihuela Costa beaches, offering an easy and scenic stretch if you want to move around. The undeniable highlight for many visitors is a short detour to Torrevieja's pink salt lake, Las Salinas, where the bubblegum-coloured water draws a constant stream of photographers and nature lovers. Punta Prima is a laid-back coastal resort on the Orihuela Costa, tucked just south of Torrevieja along the southern Costa Blanca. What makes it more than just a beach stop is the combination of things you find in one compact area: a Blue Flag beach set against a natural rocky headland that keeps the water calm, a coastal path threading through scenic coves, and the famous pink salt lake of Torrevieja sitting less than 10 minutes away. It is the kind of place where you can swim in the morning, walk a stretch of coastline in the afternoon, and still have time to see one of Spain's most photogenic natural landmarks before heading back.
Las Salinas de Torrevieja, a natural park sitting just north of Punta Prima, contains one of Europe's most striking natural phenomena: a lake that turns a vivid bubblegum pink due to specific bacteria and micro-algae that thrive in its hyper-saline environment. The colour can range from pale blush to a deep rose depending on the season and time of day. A walking path of roughly 3 km loops around parts of the lake, and the park is also a habitat for flamingos and other aquatic birds. It is genuinely unusual and well worth the short detour from Punta Prima beach, and the two fit easily into the same day.
Renting a car means dealing with pick-up logistics, unfamiliar roads, and parking on arrival, which can quickly absorb time you planned to spend on the beach. The public bus route from Alicante involves a change in Torrevieja and can stretch to over two hours each way, eating significantly into the day.
