The cancellation policy may vary depending on your trip. The cancellation conditions available for your booking will always be shown before confirming your trip. Depending on eligibility, Daytrip offers different cancellation options:
Non-refundable: If your trip is canceled after confirmation, the amount paid will not be refunded.
Standard: If your trip is canceled at least 24 hours before the scheduled departure time, the amount paid will be refunded in full. Cancellations made less than 24 hours before departure are not eligible for a refund.
Flexible: If your trip is canceled at least 1 hour before the scheduled departure time, the amount paid will be refunded in full. Cancellations made less than 1 hour before departure are not eligible for a refund.
Trips booked less than 24 hours before departure may not be eligible for free cancellation unless stated otherwise during the booking process.

You will receive the vehicle that best fits the number of travelers in your group, ranging from a sedan to a van for groups of up to 7. Depending where you travel, you can book anything from a sedan comparable to a Toyota Corolla to a Mercedes V-Class to a Classic Cuban Car. While the exact model may vary, we always ensure that the vehicle provided meets your needs in terms of safety, reliability, and comfort. You may be upgraded to a larger vehicle class free of charge depending on availability. Since our largest vehicle seats 7, for groups larger a combination of vehicles will be used. We will send you the exact vehicle details a few days before your trip.
Everywhere except the USA, drivers will supply appropriate child seats (just let us know during booking). In the USA, certain states require you to supply your own child seats.

Because it sits between Sarajevo and Belgrade, ViÅ”egrad works naturally as a scenic stop for travelers making that longer crossing rather than a standalone destination. A private transfer makes it easy to add the bridge and AndriÄgrad as a break in the journey, then continue on through the Drina river valley or other towns along the route, all without arranging separate transport for each leg.
The narrow-gauge line built through this region at the turn of the 20th century forms the historical basis of today's Šargan Eight heritage railway. The operating heritage section is mainly accessed from the Mokra Gora side, so it usually works better as a separate excursion than an add-on to a ViŔegrad day trip. Services do not run every day of the year, so check routes, running days and departures with the official operator before planning around it.
Most visitors need around 1.5 to 2 hours to walk the bridge, take photos, and stroll the riverside area. Add another hour or so if you also want to walk through AndriÄgrad, the built complex just steps from the bridge. Because the main sights sit close together, ViÅ”egrad works well as a half-day stop rather than a full-day destination, leaving time to continue on to other places nearby.
AndriÄgrad is a built complex of stone buildings constructed near the bridge, designed to evoke a small historic town and named after author Ivo AndriÄ. It houses shops, cafes, a cinema, and cultural exhibits, and is a separate, more recent attraction from the centuries-old SokoloviÄ Bridge itself. Visiting both gives a fuller sense of how the town presents its literary and architectural heritage side by side.
The centerpiece is the Mehmed PaÅ”a SokoloviÄ Bridge, a 16th-century Ottoman stone bridge over the Drina River and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Its arches and riverside setting inspired Nobel laureate Ivo AndriÄ's novel The Bridge on the Drina, and the bridge is still open for walking today, so you can take in the stonework and the river views up close. Pairing that history and literature with the Drina's setting makes ViÅ”egrad a compact, rewarding stop for travelers passing through the region.
ViŔegrad sits roughly 135 km (84 miles) from Sarajevo and around 230 km (143 miles) from Belgrade, on roads that wind through hilly terrain for much of the route. Public buses cover the route but often mean limited schedules and longer overall travel times, while a private transfer takes you door to door on your own schedule, with a driver who can stop along the way. For a town best explored on foot at a relaxed pace, arriving without the stress of transfers or timetables makes a real difference.
