Yes! Book a private, door-to-door airport transfer with a local English-speaking driver. Enjoy fixed and transparent pricing, no hidden fees, and the option to pay in advance without the hassle of exchanging cash at a foreign airport.
You will receive the vehicle that best fits the number of travelers in your group, ranging from a sedan to a van for groups of up to 7. Depending where you travel, you can book anything from a sedan comparable to a Toyota Corolla to a Mercedes V-Class to a Classic Cuban Car. While the exact model may vary, we always ensure that the vehicle provided meets your needs in terms of safety, reliability, and comfort. You may be upgraded to a larger vehicle class free of charge depending on availability. Since our largest vehicle seats 7, for groups larger a combination of vehicles will be used. We will send you the exact vehicle details a few days before your trip.
Everywhere except the USA, drivers will supply appropriate child seats (just let us know during booking). In the USA, certain states require you to supply your own child seats.
Know more about traveling from Arcidosso
Yes, and it pairs particularly well with other Monte Amiata or Maremma highlights. Santa Fiora, a quiet village with Renaissance gardens, is only about 10 km (6 miles) away. The thermal springs at Saturnia are roughly 40 km (25 miles) to the south. With a private transfer, your driver can accommodate a custom route that includes one or two stops along the way, turning the journey itself into part of the experience rather than simply a means of getting there.
Arcidosso sits in the inland hills of southern Tuscany, roughly 170 km (106 miles) from Florence and around 80 km (50 miles) from Grosseto. By car the journey from Florence takes approximately 2 to 2.5 hours. Public transport connections to Arcidosso are limited and typically require multiple changes, making a private transfer the most practical and stress-free option — you travel directly on your own schedule, without timetables or the difficulty of navigating rural Tuscan roads.
Most visitors find that 4 to 6 hours is enough to explore the old town, walk the fortress, enjoy a leisurely lunch, and take a short trail into the surrounding woodland. If you want to combine Arcidosso with a nearby stop — such as the spa town of Saturnia or the hilltop village of Santa Fiora — a full day from morning to early evening works well and makes the journey feel especially worthwhile.
The historic center does involve some steep medieval lanes, as is typical of hilltop Tuscan towns, but the main sights are accessible with moderate mobility and reasonable footwear. Families will find the open countryside, fortress setting, and relaxed pace appealing. Arriving by private transfer removes the logistical stress of rural driving or bus schedules, which makes the day significantly more comfortable for groups traveling with children, elderly relatives, or anyone who prefers a seamless door-to-door experience.
A day in Arcidosso is best spent exploring the medieval old town and the Rocca Aldobrandesca fortress at its crown, which offers sweeping views over the Monte Amiata volcanic plateau. The historic center's narrow lanes, local trattorias serving Maremma cuisine, and the surrounding chestnut woodland trails all make for a full and varied day. If time allows, the nearby Lazzarettista sanctuary on the hillside above town adds a unique cultural layer that few visitors know about.
Arcidosso is a medieval hilltop town in the Maremma region of Tuscany, perched on the slopes of Monte Amiata. It is best known for its well-preserved Aldobrandesca fortress, its connection to the 19th-century religious reformer David Lazzaretti, and its position as a gateway to Monte Amiata's chestnut forests and volcanic landscape. For travelers looking beyond the standard Tuscan circuit, Arcidosso offers authentic character, dramatic scenery, and far fewer crowds than Florence or Siena — making it a rewarding and genuinely distinctive day trip.

So, so happy I stumbled upon this website to book two private transports while visiting Lima, Peru. They were both one-way trips approximately 3 hours in length. Great communication as soon as everything was booked via email and I then downloaded their app. I had a few issues with the app and the customer service was awesome trying to assist me in getting it corrected. Honestly impressive customer service which gave you a positive feeling that you made the right choice. Both drivers were right on time - No issues whatsoever! Can't say enough about the service and ease of everything when travelling so far away. Great job to the daytrip team! Would strongly recommend.
