You will receive the vehicle that best fits the number of travelers in your group, ranging from a sedan to a van for groups of up to 7. Most visitors require a visa to enter Turkey. Many nationalities, including U.S. citizens, can obtain an e-Visa online before travel through the official Turkish government website. It's best to check your country's specific requirements well in advance of your trip, as rules can change.
Turkey's Mediterranean resort areas, including Gundogdu, are generally safe for visitors. Petty theft can occur in crowded tourist areas, so keep an eye on your belongings. It's also wise to stay hydrated and use sun protection during the hot summer months when temperatures can be intense.
Gundogdu sits close to a wealth of highlights. The ancient ruins of Side, including the Temple of Apollo and the Roman theater, are about 7 miles away. Manavgat Falls and Koprulu Canyon are popular for nature lovers, while Pamukkale and Cappadocia are reachable as longer day excursions.
Turkey's official currency is the Turkish lira (TRY). While credit cards are widely accepted at hotels, restaurants, and shops in resort areas, it's advisable to carry some local cash for smaller purchases and markets. Currency exchange offices are readily available in tourist areas and airports.
Tipping is customary in Turkey. In restaurants, around 10% of the bill is standard when a service charge is not already included. Always check your receipt first. For taxis, rounding up the fare is common. Tips are best given in cash, in Turkish lira or small bills in euros or U.S. dollars.
Turkish is the official language of Turkey. In resort towns like Gundogdu and the surrounding Side area, English is fairly widely spoken by hotel staff and those working in the tourism industry. Learning a few basic Turkish words is always appreciated and adds to the experience.
Turkish cuisine is rich and varied. Look out for fresh mezze spreads, grilled fish and kebabs, gozleme (savory stuffed flatbread), and baklava for dessert. The Manavgat Bazaar is a great place to sample local produce and snacks. Ayran (a cold yogurt drink) is a refreshing local staple.
The peak travel season runs from June to September, when the weather is hot, sunny, and ideal for beach activities. Spring (April to May) and early autumn (October) offer warm, pleasant conditions with fewer crowds. Winter is cool and sees more rainfall, but hotel prices are significantly lower.

So, so happy I stumbled upon this website to book two private transports while visiting Lima, Peru. They were both one-way trips approximately 3 hours in length. Great communication as soon as everything was booked via email and I then downloaded their app. I had a few issues with the app and the customer service was awesome trying to assist me in getting it corrected. Honestly impressive customer service which gave you a positive feeling that you made the right choice. Both drivers were right on time - No issues whatsoever! Can't say enough about the service and ease of everything when travelling so far away. Great job to the daytrip team! Would strongly recommend.
