Yes! Book a private, door-to-door airport transfer with a local English-speaking driver. Enjoy fixed and transparent pricing, no hidden fees, and the option to pay in advance without the hassle of exchanging cash at a foreign airport.
You will receive the vehicle that best fits the number of travelers in your group, ranging from a sedan to a van for groups of up to 7. Depending where you travel, you can book anything from a sedan comparable to a Toyota Corolla to a Mercedes V-Class to a Classic Cuban Car. While the exact model may vary, we always ensure that the vehicle provided meets your needs in terms of safety, reliability, and comfort. You may be upgraded to a larger vehicle class free of charge depending on availability. Since our largest vehicle seats 7, for groups larger a combination of vehicles will be used. We will send you the exact vehicle details a few days before your trip.
Everywhere except the USA, drivers will supply appropriate child seats (just let us know during booking). In the USA, certain states require you to supply your own child seats.
So, so happy I stumbled upon this website to book two private transports while visiting Lima, Peru. They were both one-way trips approximately 3 hours in length. Great communication as soon as everything was booked via email and I then downloaded their app. I had a few issues with the app and the customer service was awesome trying to assist me in getting it corrected. Honestly impressive customer service which gave you a positive feeling that you made the right choice. Both drivers were right on time - No issues whatsoever! Can't say enough about the service and ease of everything when travelling so far away. Great job to the daytrip team! Would strongly recommend.
Tampaksiring sits in the Gianyar Regency in central Bali, approximately 15 km (9 miles) northeast of Ubud and around 55 km (34 miles) from Ngurah Rai International Airport in Denpasar. The road from Ubud takes roughly 30 to 45 minutes under normal conditions. From the Kuta and Seminyak areas, expect approximately 1.5 to 2 hours depending on traffic.
Plan on 4 to 6 hours to cover the main sites comfortably. Tirta Empul and Gunung Kawi are less than 2 km (1.2 miles) apart, so visiting both in one trip is entirely practical. Allow roughly 1.5 to 2 hours at each site to absorb the atmosphere without rushing. The route also passes Tegallalang Rice Terrace, making it easy to fold that iconic landscape stop into the same day.
Absolutely. While Tirta Empul is an active place of worship, visitors of all backgrounds are welcomed to observe and, at many sites, participate in the experience respectfully. Wearing a sarong (available to borrow or rent at the entrance) is required as a sign of respect. The temples are as visually and historically striking as they are spiritually significant, making them rewarding for cultural travelers, photographers, and history enthusiasts alike.
Tampaksiring is one of central Bali's most spiritually and historically rich destinations. At its heart is Tirta Empul, a sacred water temple dating to 962 AD where Balinese Hindus perform the melukat purification ritual in spring-fed pools fed by 30 ancient waterspouts. Just a short distance away, Gunung Kawi presents 11th-century royal tombs carved directly into stone cliffs, set among terraced rice paddies. Few places in Bali deliver this concentration of living culture and ancient history in a single visit.
Both major temples require visitors to wear a sarong, which can typically be borrowed or rented on-site. Tirta Empul is busiest in the morning when devotees arrive for the purification ritual, so arriving early means witnessing the ceremony at its most authentic. The descent into Gunung Kawi involves a steep staircase of several hundred steps, so comfortable footwear matters. Bringing water is advisable, as the sites involve more walking than many visitors expect.
Tampaksiring has no public transport connections worth relying on, and the winding roads through central Bali are not suited to self-driving if you are unfamiliar with local traffic. A private Daytrip transfer puts a professional local driver at your door, gets you directly to the sites without transfers or waiting, and gives you the flexibility to linger at Gunung Kawi or add a rice terrace stop without watching a clock. You set the pace; the driver handles the road.
