"Oh my gosh! Our trip was perfect! Dario was early and accommodating and an excellent driver. I never felt nervous for a second. He was delightful as were all of the staff I had contact with. Zermatt is car-free, so all private vehicles must park in Tasch, located 5 kilometers away. Shuttle trains run every 20 minutes between Tasch and Zermatt, taking just 12 minutes. This preserves Zermatt's pristine mountain environment.

The route offers breathtaking views of the Swiss Alps, passes through charming mountain villages, and includes dramatic Alpine passes. You'll experience diverse landscapes from high mountain valleys to Italian lake regions as you approach Como.

The journey from Zermatt-Tasch to Como takes approximately 3-4 hours covering about 220 kilometers (135 miles). This scenic route passes through spectacular Alpine landscapes and crosses the Swiss-Italian border.

When crossing from Switzerland to Italy, have your passport ready for border checks. EU citizens typically experience minimal delays, while other nationalities should ensure proper documentation. The crossing is generally straightforward and efficient.

Como sits on the stunning Lake Como, surrounded by mountains and featuring elegant villas, beautiful gardens, and charming medieval architecture. The city offers boat trips on the lake, scenic funicular rides, and proximity to other lakeside towns.

Popular stops include Stresa on Lake Maggiore, Stockalper Palace, Domodossola, the Maga art museum, and the Alfa Romeo Museum. The route can be customized to include scenic detours through mountain passes or cultural sites.
