""Luis C! In short, he far exceeded expectations on multiple levels and cannot be more highly recommended. Luis was highly professional from pick-up and throughout the day. Helped to load our bags and was very attentive to the comfort of my family as we started the daytrip. He takes great pride in his country and had historical knowledge of each stop on the way. Stopping at various sites, he walked with us and pleasantly took on the role of a tour guide. What a great surprise and really added a nice education of Portugal throughout the day. Luis managed everything beautifully. We spent the day together as a family but he was always there to help when assistance was needed. A true skill! The drop-off at Coimbra highlighted how exceptional he was. We were navigating very narrow streets at the University but he skillfully managed to get us very close to our Air BnB. He helped us roll/carry our luggage about 500m to the address but it was not the right place. He looked at my wife's reservation details and quickly asked a few businesses to understand where the apartment was. It was a another 20m away and he continued along with luggage and helped us to the very end until we were able to settle down. Throughout the day, Luis was very calm and a true joy to chat with. It wasn't until he was 100% satisfied that we were settled in at Coimbra that he quietly excused himself and wished us a pleasant journey. Thanks for a memorable day, Luis C!!! ""

When is the best time to visit Coimbra

As Coimbra is situated farther north and inland compared to Lisbon, temperatures generally tend to be slightly lower. Throughout the year, temperatures typically do not drop below 43°F (6ºC), and in the warmer months, they generally do not exceed 86°F (30ºC).

If you are seeking a balance of less rainfall and mild temperatures, April and September may be the best months to visit Coimbra. The months with the least rainfall are July, August, and September, while you can expect frequent rainfall from October to February.
